  • The Vodní zdroje Ekomonitor spol. s r.o. Chrudim company has been cleaning the site since 1996. Currently two separate projects are underway.

    The project of the final stage of remediation focuses on cleaning up soil on the company premises and its vicinity contaminated with volatile chlorinated hydrocarbons (CCH).

     

  • In 2009, the project NIKM (National inventory of contaminated sites) was launched. The goal of the project is to gather as much information about known and suspected contaminated sites in the Czech Republic as possible in a given time period and to perform simple risk-based assessment in respect to the health of people and the environment.  It is to result in a functional and sustainable database of such sites to enable high-quality monitoring and management of the process of cleaning old contaminated sites in the country.

  • In 2011 remediation of buildings, soil and sediments contaminated with pesticides took place on the property of František Nepivoda in Zaječice.

    Pesticide contamination was the result of improper activities of a cooperative farm using the buildings and land back in the 1950’s. Substances for protecting plants were stored in unsuitable and unsecured buildings, such as potato storeroom or in the granary.

  • As a result of surveys made on the premises and in the vicinity of the Velamos a.s. Skuteč company in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2010, corrective measures have been imposed on the company to remedy the situation – remove contamination of soil and building rubble and clean ground waters contaminated with oil substances, volatile chlorohydrocarbons, cyanides and heavy metals (chromium, nickel, cadmium and copper).

  • Based on successful assessment made by independent judges, the T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute issued on July 20, 2012 a CERTIFICATE ON THE CORRECT FUNCTION OF LABORATORY No. 414 of the  Vodní zdroje Ekomonitor spol. s r. o. (VZE) company, registered under number 4136.

  • In the 2011 to 2012 period, the  Vodní zdroje Ekomonitor company was dealing with long-term pesticide contamination of the Water Resource of Třebechovice-Bědovice which prevented its use as a good-quality soft ground water by the population of Třebechovice pod Orebem.
